Established in the fertile rural landscape south of Mt Taranaki by renowned plantsman Bernie Hollard in the 1920’s, this property boasts a plant collection of national importance. It features many rhododendrons and unusual plants, and offers delightful contrasts. There are free guided tours at 2pm daily during the festival. Garden tours at other times may be booked for a fee on the website. Please let us know if you’re bringing a large group during this busy time.
Fri 30 Oct – Sun 1st Nov Taranaki Arts Trail Exhibition – as part of the Taranaki Arts Trail, local artists Michelle Rowland and Susie Harrop will be painting onsite and have work on display in the Holland Centre. Using media such as pastels and oils, they both like to paint animals, people and landscapes. More details on the event: taranakiartstrail.co.nz
Sat 31st Oct – Sun 1st Nov and Sat 7th Nov – Sun 8th Nov – Flojo Coffee will be located in the carpark each weekend during the festival serving fresh coffee available to purchase.
Hollard Gardens is open all day, every day. Free admission. It is owned and managed by the Taranaki Regional Council.
