A quick 10-kilometre drive into New Plymouth, Okurukuru is situated on Taranaki’s spectacular coastline, overlooking Paratutu rock and the Sugarloaf Islands on one side with a clear sight of our majestic Mount Taranaki on the other. 

Our Chalets include two luxury suites and six modern studio apartments with our newly designed disable unit. Built by Chris Bell Construction and opened in June 2020, the chalets are nestled into the hill above the coast, surrounded by vines and farmland. Each chalet has a balcony to watch the waves roll in with the complementary bottle of Okurukuru wine waiting at check-in. The chalets boast all the mod cons such as Wi-Fi and smart Tvs, they have been carefully designed to maximise the stunning setting; there are even sea views from the huge showers.
