Tūpare is a masterpiece of nature and design set on a steep hillside. Spanning 8.5 acres, this enchanting landscape hillside was crafted by Sir Russell Matthews and blends formal elegance with natural beauty. From the iconic Chapman- Taylor homestead to the tranquil flow of the Waiwhakaiho River, Tūpare captivates with its lush plantings and serene atmosphere. Wander beneath towering trees, discover hidden garden rooms and experience the magic of this historic place.  NZ Garden Trust 6 star award.

What’s on 30 Oct – 8 Nov:
All free entry, no bookings required
Every day: Morgan Paige Taitoko Art Exhibition and Open Studio, The Cottage, 10am – 3pm.
1 Nov: La Mer in the Garden, live music, 1pm – 3pm.
4 Nov: Guided Walk and Talk with the Head Gardener, 10am – 11.30am.
7 Nov: Gardener’s Guided Walk, 10am – 11.30am.
Both weekends, 31 Oct, 1, 7 & 8 Nov: VIBE Coffee will be onsite serving fresh brews and treats. 9am – 2pm.
