Tupare is an Arts and Crafts inspired property, established in 1932 by the Matthews family. Sculpted into a hillside above the Waiwhakaiho River, it features a Chapman-Taylor house set in grounds with secluded garden rooms, elegant borders and majestic trees.

Sat 31st Oct – Sun 1st Nov, 9.30am – 4pm – Taranaki Symphony Orchestra and Ensembles perform on the tennis court. Tea and home baking available to purchase.
Mon 2nd Nov – Sun 8th Nov – The Shaker Tin will be located on the tennis court, serving fresh coffee and treats available to purchase.
Tupare is open all day, every day. Free admission. It’s owned and managed by the Taranaki Regional Council.
